Exactly one year ago, he and I were driving home after a Falyn’s birthday party. Awkwardly silent and just as awkwardly holding hands he so shyly asked if he could officially call me his girlfriend. Earlier in the evening, Sarah caught us off guard by asking what exactly we were. I remember we both looked at each other and didn’t know how to answer. We were trying to play it cool and take it slow, although we had liked each other for quite sometime already. 

Fast forward through a year of laughing, learning and growing together I’m in love with the perfect person, whom I’ll continue to refer to here as, Choker.

Choker even made me a bookmark to go with Ready, Set, Read!

Tonight I was lucky enough to be accompanied by Choker to see The Artist at Tampa Theatre. We met up with an old friend of mine, and caught up for a few minutes before and after the film.

The film itself was great, but getting the chance to watch in a theatre made it an experience. It’s one thing to watch a film (especially a silent film) by yourself at home and it’s a completely different thing to sit in a theatre with at least a few dozen people where everyone is dead silent and focused on the screen.
